Parfums de Marly Pegasus | Honest Fragrance Review

Sexy, Powdery, Almond, Metallic – Parfums de Marly Pegasus Review

In this article, I’ll be providing a review on Parfums de Marly Pegasus a fragrance by the house of Parfums de Marly as evident by the name.

Parfums de Marly Pegasus is a worthy ambassador for the house of Parfums de Marly. Parfums de Marly offers a lot of amazing stuff, and has been able to inspire me more than disappoint me so far. Pegasus is one of the PDM scents that I consider to be in my top five.

PDM PEGASUS is a ship that takes you on a rollercoaster ride. Pegasus has a unbelievably lovely aroma with a terrific sweetness that won’t cause immediate nasal diabetes. The smell is diverse and slightly complicated. PDM Pegasus is sometimes compared to Dior Hypnotic, which I do not believe is the case. Dior Hypnotic has a weight and intrusiveness about it. PDM Pegasus gets near to being verified with vanilla essence, whilst Dior Hypnotic smells like a freshly cooked vanilla pudding. It smells like almonds and metallic notes. Despite its sweetness, the smell has a lovely freshness to it, and every time I get a whiff of it, it makes me feel like I’m flying. I’m completely smitten. Pegasus is my ultimate winter fragrance.

When used properly, Pegasus has the ability to inspire those around you. It is a dependable friend in the spring, or better throughout the colder months of the year – especially on wet days. Because of its sweetness, I would not recommend using this fragrance at temperatures exceeding 20 degrees Celsius, as it will become difficult to swallow. In either case, its an absolutely stunning fragrance under the right conditions!

Backstory

Pegasus is the house Parfums de Marly’s sixth fragrance. It’s described as a fougere oriental composition. For the past eight years, Parfums de Marly Pegasus has been a cornerstone of the collection, and has been a huge hit. With its distinctive DNA, Pegasus marks a turning point in Parfums de Marly’s history.

Pegasus is a men’s Amber Fougere scent by Parfums de Marly. Pegasus was first released in 2011. Heliotrope, Cumin, and Bergamot are the top notes; Bitter Almond, Lavender, and Jasmine are the middle notes; while Vanilla, Sandalwood, and Amber are the base notes.

Review

Unlike other niche scents, what distinguishes Parfums de Marly Pegasus is its originality, which paradoxically emerges from the simplicity of a perfectly clear, almost philosophical thought. The primary concept of Pegasus is to successfully and harmoniously merge two smells that are truly diametrically opposed and impossible to reconcile in one bottle.

Pegasus’ characteristic metallic or metallic coolness dominates, which is easily detectable and conveys a sense of arrogance, distance, and emotional coldness. On the other hand, Pegasus produces the equally characteristic bitter almond note, which is refined in a creamy and seductive way by the vanilla in the base. This bitter-sweet bitter almond with vanilla evokes human proximity, cuddling warmth, almost a romantic image.

The existential duality of this world of closeness and distance, of warmth and cold, of sensual understatement and chivalrous arrogance, olfactorically combined and brought together in a single noble fragrance, a single bottle, is precisely where the ingenuity, that certain something of Pegasus, lies.

PDM Pegasus essential structure is formed by these two parts. Add in some delightful freshness from the bergamot and some masculinity from the cumin spice, and I’d define the fragrance as a men’s fragrance, maybe due to the metallic aspect of the perfume, which requires a certain amount of self-assurance when worn. Amber and sandalwood provide a gentle, solid basis for the entire fragrance composition while also refining particular smells.

How is the sillage. and longevity of Parfums de Marly Pegasus?

Parfums de Marly Pegasus is a lovely cool-weather scent. This fragrance has great persistence, especially off of clothing, and it pushes off of me very well, filling most moderately sized rooms within the first few hours after application and leaving a reasonable size smell bubble hours afterwards. I’ve worn it in the office and received praises; this scent appeals to a wide range of people and is rather non-offensive. Although some argue that this scent is unisex, I would say that it is clearly male.

The lifespan of the fragrance is good. I can feel it on my skin for 11-12 hours, it also leaves a very pleasant scent on clothes, a day after wearing the scent. The fragrance is an excellent value for money. It smells niche, unique, and definitely a fragrance that could be a signature scent.

How versatile is Parfums de Marly Pegasus?

A strong, flexible mid-season scent. The aroma is floral, nutty, and powdery. Fresh enough for the warmer spring days, yet thick enough for the cooler fall evenings. Sweet but not cloying or “bubblegum” sweet, this is a unique sort of sweet masculine scent that is both casual and sophisticated, avoiding the pop realm of nightclub perfumery. When initially sprayed up close, Pegasus isn’t exactly a show-stopper; it can appear very plain, yet its subtle depth is hidden in its lingering sillage. Allow yourself to become accustomed to it.

Parfums de Marly Pegasus is an extremely versatile fragrance. You can dress it up or wear it casual. This one works for all occasions. I’d just advise against wearing this fragrance on hot summer days.

Conclusion

PDM Pegasus is a scent that I recommend trying since it’s quite nice, comforting, and sweet. It’s appropriate for every event, time of day, or season. In the summer, though, avoid this scent. You can use this fragrance for any other season, without hesitation. It’ll get you noticed, and definitely complimented, due to it’s unique sillage.

I can recommend this fragrance without hesitation, and despite the usual high Marly price, I strongly advise you to get it. However, I would test the perfume first, since the flavours are distinct, and one should choose whether or not they individually enjoy this metallic bitter almond creation enough to pay the premium marly price.

Parfums de Marly Pegasus smells fantastic. The metallic mentioned is only present at the beginning; I believe it gives the scent a strong start, and the rest is luxury. The dry down is quite pleasant. Later, when your partner snuggles up close, you’ll have a lovely aroma on your skin. PDM you guys have done an excellent job.

I hope you enjoyed my review on Parfums de Marly Pegasus. As always, if you’ve found the article interesting don’t forget to share it with others. I’d love to know about your thought on PDM Pegasus in the comments. Take care, god bless, and keep smelling fantastic. 🙂
