Parfums de Marly Layton | Honest Fragrance Review

Easy to wear, sexy and long lasting – Parfums de Marly Layton Review

In this article, I’ll be providing a review on Parfums de Marly Layton a fragrance by the house of Parfums de Marly as evident by the name.

One of the finest scents of all time, in my opinion! A very harmonic scent, a feel-good scent that is nonetheless manly and mature. The somewhat sour, but yet sweet apple note, complemented by a subtle freshness, was love at first sight, right at the start, a dream come true for me.

PDM Layton is frequently referred as as a beginner’s scent in the niche sector. That was intended to be an insult, but it’s actually one of the highest compliments this fragrance could’ve ever received. The perfume is quite delectable. It has the scent of a very costly and unique designer. You quickly realize you’re not smelling an 0815 scent when you smell it for the first time.

The lovely sweetness, which lingers long after application, makes it the ideal smell for me on chilly days, not only in the evening. This scent usually puts me in a pleasant mood when I first smell it. A citrus freshness greets the senses, with bergamot standing out for me at this point. Then a nice, somewhat sweet apple spreads swiftly. The deeper tones, particularly sandalwood and a little vanilla, come through in the drydown.

In commemoration of his great-grandfather Louis XIV, French King Louis XV commissioned sculptor Guillaume Coustouin to create his legendary masterwork in 1743. It was this wonderful piece of art, today known as “The Marly Horses,” that set the basis for the brand Parfums de Marly. Their perfumes harken back to the opulence of the seventeenth century, when the richest scents were made for King Louis XV as a homage to the important horse races that he so ardently enjoyed. LAYTON, the one of the most popular releases of the house. And without exception, its perfumed sensuality evokes the joyous, and harmonic environment of the Versailles court.

Layton is an Amber Floral scent for ladies and men by Parfums de Marly. Layton was first released in 2016. Hamid Merati-Kashani is the nose behind this scent. Apple, Lavender, Mandarin Orange, and Bergamot are the top notes; Geranium, Violet, and Jasmine are the middle notes; while Vanilla, Cardamom, Sandalwood, Pepper, Patchouli, and Guaiac Wood are the base notes.

Parfums de Marly Layton is a wonderful combination of apple, vanilla, sandalwood, and lavender melded to create a one-of-a-kind scent. This scent has the ability to appeal to a broad audience while also being refined. The apple’s sweetness stands out against everything else, yet it’s not overpowering in any way. Because of how unusual and elegant it is, it will receive compliments in any social setting. It may be the greatest scent she’s ever smelled on a man if the man wears it on his first date.

For my nose, PDM Layton starts out pleasantly fruity. The apple and tangerine complement the geltung well, even if they have a mild, flowery scent at first. It does, however, get warmer and “more tart” with time, even though that sounds a little paradoxical, but I only detect it as a men’s perfume after a certain amount of time. Patchouli and cardamom must be responsible for the spicy flavors that gradually emerge. The woody tones add a little more support without making it seem harsher. He maintains a lovely softness and sensuality at all times.

After what seems like a lifetime, the vanilla comes in and he becomes a touch sweeter, which isn’t a bad thing for a winter/autumn smell. Gradually, Grandma’s warm apple pie came to mind, recalling childhood memories of being warmed up after snowball battles outside at the grandparents’ house, and Grandma serving the warm cake.

Overall, PDM Layton is a stunning, wonderfully balanced perfume that is both balanced and seductive to my olfactory sensibilities. I’ve had this on my skin for over 10 hours now, and despite the fact that I’ve already changed, the two sprays have held their ground and have been with me the entire day. The end is still a long way off. The sillage and durability are exceptional. This is absolutely a fragrance, I;’d reach deep in my pockets for.
